For those of you who made it to the Pump Up Your Book Live! Chat Tuesday night with bestselling author Vincent Zandri, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. One question I asked him was is it true you are selling thousands of ebooks a day? He said yes but I wanted him to go into greater detail. For his stop today at my Virginia Beach Publishing Examiner column, I asked him what's your story? I knew he had been published at a big publishing house (I think he said the advance was a quarter of a million dollars) then things took a different direction and I've always wondered why go from a big house to publishing ebooks?
Well, here is his story which is interesting really and if you're a published author or someone who would like to be published one day, it's a very very good lesson in just the way the publishing world is heading and if your book isn't at Amazon's Kindle store, DO IT TODAY. I asked my publisher if she could get Romancing the Soul in the Kindle store and she said she was working on getting back titles in...for future books, they will all be published in both paper and ebooks and I'd like to find out myself what all this ebook bestselling authors thing is all about...I mean, how cool is that and I'm finding more and more authors are getting bestselling status at Amazon for certain categories...man I can't wait to see what happens there. I mean listen...once you become bestseller status no matter if it's in a category or overall at Amazon, you can use that bad boy moniker the rest of your LIFE. It's just like these interviews, etc. that get into Chicago Times, etc at Pump Up Your Book...once they go up even though they are syndicated through my blogs, you can always use "I was published in Chicago Times" I mean technically you are and you can use that in your bio or resume or whatever.
Anyway...here's the interview I did with Vincent recently on why he went from Delacorte to ebooks...it's really worth the time to read.
